There were 19 members present. The meeting was called to order at 11:08 a.m. Motion by Bill H. and 2nd by Mike B. to accept the minutes as posted. Motion passed. Motion by Bill H. and 2nd by Max W. to accept the treasurers report as given. Motion passed. Officers Report: Motion by Max W. and 2nd by Quinten R. to authorize up to 8 hours of LWOP to Bob D. for finalization of the treasurer’s books for the year. Motion passed. The trustees will meet to audit the books. PSE’s union dues are set to increase per our membership vote. Please do your research if you are considering the early retirement that has been offered. There are a few pitfalls, you must be the minimum retirement age to qualify for the bridge to social security. Please don’t act to rashly. According to National, military time does not count towards social security if you accept the early retirement. Volunteers are still needed for a contract committee. This helps to promote solidarity and helps give leverage for negotiations. Motion by Rick L. and 2nd by Quinten R. to pay Jody A. for 8 hrs. of stewards training. Motion passed. Motion by Bob D. and 2nd by Quinten R. to authorize LWOP for 8 hrs. for remaining stewards training. Motion passed. Please watch your attendance, they are now doing quarterly reviews. COPA: $34 Old Business: We discussed May State Convention business. New Business: Tri-State Convention will be held in Kansas City, March 8-11th. Motion by Jody A. and 2nd by Quinten R. to send 3 people to Tri-State. Friendly amendment to add routine and customary expenses and add up to a 4th person. Motion passed. Nominations were made, and a vote was taken. Sam N., Ashlee S., Bill H. and Akilah H. were voted to attend. National Presidents Conference will be held in St. Louis on March 17-19. Motion by Bob D. and 2nd by Max W. to send 2 people with normal and customary expenses. Friendly amendment by Penny T. and 2nd by Dale C. to send 3 people. Motion passed. Motion by Bill H. and 2nd by Sam N. to send Kim K., Ashlee S., and Akilah H. Motion passed. National Convention will be held in Pittsburgh on Aug 20-23rd. Motion by Sam N. to table this until next month. MDA Bowl is approaching in March. If you are interested, please assemble a team or inquire about joining a team. Prime Time bidding is set to begin on March 15th, but there was a request to push back the start date by 2 days. Motion by Jody A. and 2nd by Sam N. to open bidding 2 days later. Motion passed. Next meeting is Feb. 17th Motion by Bob D. and 2nd by Quinten R. to move the March meeting until the 24th due to the convention conflict. Motion passed.
