Officers Report: If you have a safety issue, make sure you fill out your 1767. You can make a copy before
turning it in or you can mail it anonymously. Any questions, please ask one of the Union Officers. On
April 1st we have a change of vendor for EAP. We are waiting to see who our new consultant is going to
be. The contact phone number will not change. On April 17th from 5 to 9 p.m. there is a New Employee

Union. The RI399 has been sent to our regional person. The regional people may come in to ask
questions as to who does what duties.
The computers in the union office have upgrades to their memory. The cost was $50 and they are now
running faster. Capital Vendors would like to use some of our internet service. Our internet speed has
been upgraded for no change in internet cost, but it required a two-year contract. It was roughly $160
cost to install and upgrade our modem ($99 for the upgraded modem and $59 for the install). We have a
transfer individual coming in, please welcome this person to our building.
Tri-State Convention: There are several small offices in the state scheduled for closure or are closed.
There are steps necessary before such an action can occur. Privatization was discussed and Sam N. has
more information about fighting privatization. The National Day of Action is April 15th so please try to
wear your union shirt that day and on Thursdays. If you need one, Bob D. has more you can buy. Sam N.
also has buttons if you would like one.
Arbitration is going to take place for the Union contract. There are several topics that the Union and the
post office are not agreeing on. The National officials are posting on their website more information on

this. Please be careful when making a statement for management. We are trying to increase our COPA-
Matic. There is a national Safety program starting.
